Wellbeing Program

Supporting Emotional Wellbeing, Inclusion & Positive Behaviour

At Your Angel we believe every child deserves to feel safe, included, and supported – at school and beyond. Our School Wellbeing Program is designed to strengthen emotional and social wellbeing in school communities by working alongside students, families, and staff.

We are pleased to be partnering with Kind Connections Learning to deliver their ‘Metaminds Program’ in public schools in the Wingecarribee.

Metaminds wellbeing program is an evidence based, whole-school framework designed to cultivate emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and lifelong learning habits through a metacognitive and embodied approach to wellbeing. Grounded in neuroscience, positive psychology, and social- emotional learning, the program empowers students to understand themselves as learners and as human beings, exploring how the brain, body, and emotions work together to support resilience, regulation, and meaningful connections.

What the Program Offers:

The School Wellbeing Program focuses on four key areas:

  • Emotional wellbeing
  • Behavioural support
  • Social inclusion
  • Positive social skills development

We’re currently running a two-year pilot program in local primary schools with the generous support of Southern Highlands Community Foundation.

How we provide Practical Support:

  • Individual and small group sessions on topics such as friendships, resilience, conflict resolution, emotional regulation, self-esteem, and behaviour.
  • Support for students and families through consistent relationship-building and, where needed, referrals to external services (e.g. housing support, child protection, family violence services).
  • Support for school staff, including behaviour management strategies and approaches to increase student engagement.
  • NAO robot integration – an innovative and engaging tool that helps teach emotional and social skills in a fun, interactive way for younger students.

Why This Matters

At Your Angel, one of our core values is making sure no child or family falls through the gaps. This program is about early support, inclusive practices, and real outcomes for kids who need it most. We’re committed to creating something that’s both beneficial and sustainable – for students, families, and schools alike.
