At Your Angel, we are proud to carry forward the compassionate work of Rainbow of the Southern Highlands, a much-loved local charity dedicated to supporting families with chronically and terminally ill children. Now known as the Rainbow Project, this vital initiative lives on through Your Angel, where it will continue to grow as part of our expanded mission to support vulnerable children across the Southern Highlands.
Honouring the Heart of the Rainbow Project
For years, the Rainbow Project has provided:
- Emotional and practical support to families during medical hardship
- Financial assistance for life-saving equipment, medicine, and in-home support
- Contributions to the children’s ward at Bowral and District Hospital
By transitioning the Rainbow Project into Your Angel’s care, we ensure its legacy of compassion and local impact continues – stronger than ever.
Expanding the Impact
Your Angel is now delivering the Rainbow Project’s mission through a range of targeted and innovative programs designed to support children across many areas of need:
Practical Assistance for Families
We continue to support families dealing with chronic or terminal illness by helping cover essential costs of medications – reducing the stress and burden on caregivers.
New Wellbeing Program
This program focuses on emotional wellbeing and social resilience for children in school and linking them with relevant supports at home. It provides safe, supportive environments for kids to express themselves, build confidence, and feel connected – focusing on emotional wellbeing, behavioural support and social inclusion.
Community Kids Workshops
Through community-based initiatives, we support children by offering workshops that promote social inclusion, build confidence, teach life skills and provide lots of fun. Affordable and accessible to all children and youth in the Southern Highlands. The Rainbow Project is now part of this wider effort to reach children where they are.
NAO Social Skills Program
Our interactive NAO humanoid robot is used in schools to support children with social, emotional, and developmental challenges. NAO helps students make friends, practice communication skills, and build self-confidence – particularly those who benefit from consistent, gentle, and engaging interactions.

By assisting to fund our programs that practically support local children through multiple programs, we are preserving its legacy while expanding its impact – so more children and families in our community get the support they need, when they need it most.
