How NAO Program came to be

Thanks to the incredible generosity of the Kaz Early Learning Centre and The Sidney Myer Fund, Your Angel was gifted two NAO humanoid robots, complete with special education applications (ASK NAO).

International initiative ASK NAO (Autism Solution for Kids), was sparked from noticing how much children with autism are naturally attracted to technology. As a tool to assist teachers & carers, the NAO robot bridges human and technological worlds.

Through interactive applications NAO has helped children living with an array of challenges reach specific social & educational learning goals whilst building confidence and self-esteem.

Through-out 2017 we conducted trials with children in therapy and at school and set about building on the ASK NAO technology.

In 2018 we moved to a closed Pilot with local Bowral Public School. Insights from this Pilot enabled us to refine our program and ensure its relevance for children in Australia. 

Since then we have visited kids in mainstream primary & disability schools, via community service providers and direct to community. 

Post pandemic, with a growing range of children and needs, consistent benefits and outcomes have proven the Your Angel NAO program remains as relevant and effective as ever.

Our goal is to continue to provide an innovative, person-centric, NAO humanoid program as freely accessible service to local children living with Autism, developmental, social, emotional and/or behavioural challenges.
