Your Angel supports and delivers age appropriate programs in the local community.

Kaz Kids (2-12 yrs)

Kaz Kids Workshops were established by Your Angel to provide accessible school holiday programs for kids in need of support in the Southern Highlands. Open to all families in the region the charity offers sponsored placement for those in need with income raised from paid placements going directly to Your Angel community projects.

Kaz Magic

This program is specially designed to teach key life skills to 8-12 yr olds through the process of learning to perform magic. The course was created by internationally-known, award winning, magician and education Michael Ammar, and his creative team after nearly twenty years of research. This workshop is run by Your Angel founder & director Peter Kazacos.

During School Holidays Kaz Kids Kitchen hosts cooking classes with a twist! Whether it’s cooking with science or learning magic skills in the kitchen school holidays will be a time for fun in our community kitchen.

The STEAM Lab

The STEAM Lab comes to Bowral for Kaz Kids holiday workshops bringing super science fun to our holiday program. The Steam Lab host, Marie, has her very own lab coat & a double degree in Mechatronic Engineering and Computer Science. Marie is also a Mum to 4 kids with a creative bent for delivering fun, hands-on, interactive learning experiences for young budding scientists.

Photography

A fun hands-on program for kids to learn how to take awesome photographic portraits of family and friends! In this workshop we cover the basics of how your camera works, what makes a great picture, how different lighting will change the mood and look of your photo. Students will walk away with some great images of their fellow photographers and new found skills for life.

Indigenous Art

Earthy, tactile, grounding and creative… these classes are conducted by trained indigenous artists who have an ability to connect with children and teach them the how to create their own indigenous inspired artworks to take home and enjoy. The children will not only benefit from a terrific art lesson but will also have a wonderfully rich cultural experience.

Youth (12-25 yrs)

School Leavers Survival Cooking Classes

Living on processed and take-away foods can be expensive and not the greatest for health and nutrition. Through The Cook’s Cooking School, we offer cooking classes for young, or soon-to-be, adults (aged 16-21yrs) looking to learn how to buy, prepare and store great bang-for-your-buck dishes that are both delicious and nutritious.

Youth Radio

Your Angel is a proud supporter of 92.5FM Youth Radio. As an independent, volunteer radio station Youth Radio connects and engages with the youth of the Wingecarribee Shire through localised, informative and entertaining content.  It also provides an opportunity for young people to gain hands-on experience and exposure to employment pathways in the media industry.

Your Angel, in collaboration with Youth Radio, provides programming opportunities for local Indigenous, educational and disability groups in an effort to educate and engage with the broader community.
